Opalescence Teeth Whitening System
Opalescence Go uses an effective hydrogen peroxide bleaching formula to whiten natural teeth. The convenient prefilled trays provide a custom fit and optimal gel/tooth contact.
The whitening gel is syringe-delivered and contains a patented component known as PF which helps reduce sensitivity and increases tooth enamel strength. It also includes 20% water to prevent dehydration.
In-Office Treatment
There are a variety of factors that can cause teeth discoloration, such as acidic drinks (like coffee, tea, red wine, and soda), tobacco use, and certain medications. At Crisafulli Dental, we provide professional whitening services to combat these factors and brighten your smile.
Developed more than 30 years ago, the Opalescence tooth whitening system is a global leader in teeth whitening that has helped millions of patients brighten their smiles and improve their quality of life. Its patented gel formula contains carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide, and it is designed to be used with custom trays for maximum comfort and efficiency.
The patented UltraFit tray moulds to any patient’s mouth for a comfortable fit and optimal whitening gel/tooth contact. The whitening gel also contains PF, a mix of potassium nitrate and fluoride that reduces sensitivity and helps prevent cavities. This combination makes whitening safer and more effective than over-the-counter products. The whitening formulas are available in short- or long-wearing applications.
At-Home Treatment
For over 30 years, Opalescence teeth whitening products have been helping patients whiten their smiles in safe, reliable ways. The powerful prescription-strength whitening gel is applied to the teeth with a special tray, removing organic stains and whitening enamel. The patented formula of PF (potassium nitrate and fluoride) reduces tooth sensitivity and helps protect the enamel during whitening treatment.
The whitening gel is available in five concentrations of carbamide peroxide and comes in mint, melon or regular flavor. Its easy syringe delivery system and three different tray options allow for treatment flexibility based on the patient’s needs. The whitening gel is also vegan, kosher, and gluten free, making it compatible with the lifestyles and beliefs of a diverse population of patients.
Many dentists recommend combining in-office whitening with at-home Opalescence trays for maintenance. This combination is ideal for removing difficult discolorations such as those caused by certain medications (tetracycline) and tooth trauma. It’s also a great option for whitening before placing veneers or crowns.
In-Office Boost
Opalescence Boost in-office whitening is a quick and convenient way to bleach dark discolored teeth. The in-office procedure lightens your tooth enamel by several shades in just one hour. The whitening gel is chemically activated which eliminates the need for hot and uncomfortable LED whitening lights.
The whitening gel contains potassium nitrate and fluoride which helps maintain your healthy enamel while you whiten. The whitening treatment is very safe and has been clinically proven to be effective.
The whitening system comes with 10 custom fit, pre-filled trays that are easy to use at home. The trays are available in two concentrations: 20% and 35% carbamide peroxide. This product is ideal for patients who want a touch up on their teeth or have special events they are planning and need to look their best.
At-Home Trays
During an at-home treatment, patients will use a custom tray and high-strength whitening gel. Your dentist will make these trays using an alginate impression of your mouth. The trays will fit your teeth perfectly.
The whitening gel contains hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. These whiteners break down discoloration on the teeth, eliminating stains and brightening your smile. The whitening gel also includes potassium nitrate and fluoride. These ingredients prevent tooth sensitivity and promote healthy gums.
Patients should apply the whitening gel for 10 to 15 minutes, two or more times each day. After removing the whitening gel, rinse the mouth with cool water and brush the teeth. Patients should clean the whitening tray after each use and store it in a case.
It is important to only fill the whitening tray with the amount prescribed by your dentist. Too much bleaching gel can burn the soft tissues inside the mouth and cause irritation.
